Sun shines for a vintage first day at Goodwood Revival

STUNNING vintage dresses, dapper jackets and magnificent machines were order of the day for crowds flocking to the opening day of Goodwood Revival.

The retro celebration of the venue’s proud racing heritage was bathed in sunshine for its opening day.

With a total of 17-keenly-contested races taking place across the weekend, there will be plenty of racing thrills and spills in store.

Pagham-born racing star Derek Bell returned once again for his home event and even found time for special cricket match at Goodwood alongside Lord March, before taking to the track across the weekend.

“I think Revival is great and I’ll be doing two races this weekend,” he said of the event. See next week’s Observer for an interview with him and a full report of the weekend.
