SUNDAY'S early morning thunderstorm put Bexhill's firefighters on alert.

One crew was dispatched to act as stand-by in Hastings while colleagues there dealt with flooding in the Old Town area. Another went to Wickes' Ravenside store after the storm set off the fire alarm.
