Super sunny Bexhill!
SUN lovers made for the promenade and beach in their droves over the weekend as the Bexhill temperature soared to a Sunday (June 19) high of 27.3C (81F).
This was the busy scene at the Colonnade. Patio cafes and ice cream kiosks did a roaring trade. By mid-afternoon on Sunday it was estimated that more than 5,000 were soaking up the sun on the beach or dipping their toes in the sea between South Cliff and Galley Hill. Warmest night of the week by far was also Sunday as the temperature never dropped below 18.4C (65F).
