Members of the Climping Conservation Volunteers have been busy restoring the village pond, and the green in Horsemere Green Lane, where Southern Water has a pumping station.

The company is providing fencing made of reeds to help screen its security fencing. Kevin Buck, who organises Southern Water’s charity sponsorships, said: “Our pumping station in Climping performs a crucial role for the community but we’re pleased we can help make it a little less conspicuous in the village.”

The pump transports wastewater from the village to the treatment works in Ford.
