Supporting the old Shoreham bridge

A FAIR in Shoreham has helped support the old tollbridge.

At the Shoreham Society's fair in the Marlipins Museum in Shoreham High Street on Saturday, December 13, a cheque for 500 was presented to the Old Shoreham Tollbridge Community Trust.

Beryl Ferrers-Guy, chairman of the Shoreham Society, said: "Despite the weather, it went very well.

"The weather did have an effect on the audience, but the people that were there thoroughly enjoyed themselves."

The fair offered a variety of stalls as well as mince pies and hot punch.

Liza McKinney of the Old Shoreham Tollbridge Community Trust said: "It was wonderful, we were so grateful to them.

"The Shoreham Society has given us 1,000 in the past year for the tollbridge.
