Surfer Dies

A KEEN windsurfer tragically died just days after celebrating his 18th birthday.

Friends and neighbours have paid tribute to Daniel Wright, of Holmbush Way, Southwick, who died last Tuesday following a collision with a goods vehicle the day before.

Daniel was cycling along Basin Road North, Hove, when the accident happened.

An avid surfer, Daniel spent the summer working as an instructor at Hove Lagoon Watersports, where friends and staff are deeply shocked and saddened by his death.

Daniel joined the club when he was 11 and learned to windsurf.

At the age of 16 he joined the kid s club, where he continued his passion for windsurfing and mastered the sport to a high standard, according to colleagues.
