A total of 12 fire engines were sent to the scene, where several units were alight.

East Sussex Fire and Rescue Service said as of 7.30am the fire was surrounded and the incident was under control.

Two fire engines remain at the scene and a fire investigation will be carried out today.

Sussex Police and South East Coast Ambulance also attended.

At this time there are no reports of any injuries.

Sussex Police closed the surrounding roads as there were flammable substances and chemicals inside the unit.

All the roads have now been reopened.

“If it is confirmed that the incident is an arson attack it will be taken over as a criminal investigation.”
