Kreb Dragonrider, 57, of Orchard Close, Scaynes Hill, was sentenced at Lewes Crown Court on December 22. He had previously pleaded guilty to six counts of possessing indecent images of children.

Nicholas Hamblin, defending, said his client had been viewing the images, but hadn’t been involved in taking or distributing them.

Sentencing, Judge Charles Kemp said: “Whilst you’re not responsible for the creating of the images or, on the facts of this case, for distributing and disseminating those images, but as long as people like you are prepared to download those images for your own satisfaction, so the trade proliferates, and the children are undoubtedly damaged by their experiences.”

He gave Dragonrider an 18 month jail sentence, suspended for two years, and ordered him to complete a sex offender treatment programme and sign on the Sex Offenders’ Register for ten years.
