Sussex Chief Constable has ‘no case to answer’

An independent investigation into a chief constable from Sussex Police has been concluded.

The Independent Police Complaints Commission (IPCC) found Chief Constable Martin Richards had no case to answer, following an anonymous allegation of misconduct.

The complaint was voluntarily referred to the IPCC in June by the Sussex Police Authority, and the investigation found no evidence to support the allegation.
