Tackling Rye’s seagull problem
Rye Town Council will be asking Rother to introduce a new bag scheme in order to thwart seagulls which peck bin bags open and scatter rubbish across the street.
They want Rother to investigate a scheme used by Thanet Council who use gull proof bags to protect bin bags.
Hastings now use a similar scheme.
