Tales of whores and highwaymen in The Beggars Opera

The New Sussex Opera Chorus is presenting The Beggar’s Opera at the All Saints Centre in Lewes next month.

John Gay’s funny, boisterous and bawdy story of whores and highwaymen in 18th century London will be performed on Saturday, May 3 (7.30pm).

It will be a fully costumed production with a mini-orchestra of strings, flute and harpsichord.

Tickets are £15/£12 and online booking is available at http://www.nso.ticketsource.co.uk or call 01273 471851.

It will be the first of three performances in Sussex, the others being in Eastbourne (May 4) and Hurstpierpoint (May 5).
