Talking about regeneration

"WHEN can we buy a flat?" has been the main question asked at an exhibition of plans to regenerate a prime Shoreham waterfront site, according to the developers.

Urban Life Developments staged a two-day public consultation in the foyer of the Civic Centre in Ham Road, Shoreham, on Thursday and Friday with plans and artists' impressions of its designs to transform the old Parcel Force site in Brighton Road.

Dubbed the Shoreham Waterside, the development includes new slipways, 84 apartments, an 80-room boutique hotel, health club, restaurant, a waterfront piazza, underground parking, improved pedestrian access to the waterfront and a riverside walk.

Philip Foster, managing director of Urban Life Developments, who lives in Brighton and is a keen windsurfer at Shoreham Beach, said: "The interest has been phenomenal, with an incredible amo-

unt of queries about the flats and how people can buy one. We have had so many positive comments and hardly any negative ones.

"Shoreham has enormous potential and we have worked closely with both West Sussex County Council and Adur District Council, to support and develop the regeneration plans, presenting a scheme which will attract inward investment, generate employment and increase tourism to the area.

"The Shoreham Waterside application presents a real opportunity to bring vital benefits and exceptional design to the town.
