The series raised over £1,200 which will be used to fund some more awards to our sporty youngsters.

The overall competition was won by Barclays Bank Horsham. Pictured (below centre) shows Barclay’s Martin Bonner receiving the Set4Success Challenge Cup from Discus star and Set4Sucess Patron Jade Lally .

Barclays also won the snooker and quiz , with Horsham Rotary winning the bowls, Spofforths winning the table tennis, Collyer’s winning soccer and Bluecoats winning the stoolball.

Most of the teams that participated in the challenges attended the quiz evening and were thrilled to meet Jade and hear about her hopes for Rio in the summer. She is currently the World’s Number 5 discus thrower based on 2016 events and has already thrown the qualifying distance.

Previous Set4Success award winner Hannah Patchett was also present and talked about her achievements as part of the Great Britain Water Polo Squad.

The 2016 challenges will start shortly and archery, shooting and canoeing will be added to the sports included.

This is a fun competition and suitable for all comers and organisations do not have to participate in every sport, just the ones that they want.

The challenges will take place over the next 10 months. If any group or business would like to participate, please contact John Le Rossignol (Set4Success secretary) at [email protected] to receive full details.
