'˜Technical issues' force delay in Heathfield Post Office reopening

The post office branch was due to reopen at its new location, in Unique Wine Ltd, at lunchtime today but some unresolved technical issues mean the reopening will be delayed.

A Post Office spokesperson said: “Heathfield Post Office was due to reopen at its new location, Unique Wine Ltd, at lunchtime today.

“Unfortunately due to technical issues that still need to be resolved, there will be a delay to the branch re-opening.

“We apologise for the unexpected delay. We are working hard to resolve the situation as quickly as possible to restore Post Office services to Heathfield.

“The new branch is looking great - modern, light and bright. New Postmaster Sanjiv Patel and his team are looking forward to serving Post Office customers.

“Soon the branch will be open during the shop’s opening hours Monday to Saturday 9am – 9pm. This is an extra 21 hours than when the branch was previously open.”
