Teen arrested after train attack

A teenager from St Leonards has been arrested after a train conductor was attacked.

British Transport Police issued an appeal for information after the ticket collector was assaulted on board a train between Pevensey and Westham and Hampden Park stations in March this year.

The 36-year-old victim was put in a headlock after a row about his ticket.

An 18-year-old from St Leonards gave himself up to police and was subsequently released on bail until the end of the month (August 31).

Witnesses should call 0800 40 50 40.
