Teen injured as vehicle hits tree in Aldingbourne

A teenager was taken to hospital after suffering serious injuries when the car he was driving crashed into a tree.

The 17-year-old, from the Chichester area, was driving a silver Renault Clio west along the A27 at Aldingbourne when he lost control, left the road and hit a tree.

He was treated in hospital for his injuries after the crash around 10.45pm on Sunday.

Police in Chichester are investigating and are appealing to anyone who witnessed the incident or saw the car being driven before the accident.
