Teenager arrested - A271 collision near Hailsham

A TEENAGE DRIVER has been arrested after a collision between a car and motorcycle near Hailsham.

The collision happened at 11pm on the A271 at Amberstone last night, August 11.

Police said a Vauxhall Corsa collided with a BMW motorcycle.

The motorcycle rider, a 55-year-old from Seaford, suffered serious leg and arm injuries.

He was taken to the Royal Sussex County Hospital for treatment.

The 18-year-old driver of the Corsa was arrested on suspicion of dangerous driving. He remained in custody this morning (Friday).
