A 16-year-old boy has been left with a cut to his chest after attempting to intervene in a incident in Seaford yesterday (December 9).
The 16-year-old was assaulted after he came across a man arguing with an older woman in an alleyway at the side of Barwells solicitors on Sutton Park Road at around 10.45am.
When the victim approached, he was struck by an unknown object by the suspect, leaving him with a small cut to his chest.
The suspect had covered his face with a orange scarf with a white snowflake pattern and was wearing a white hooded top with an emblem on the front, black gloves and blue jeans.
He was about 5ft tall and in his late 20s.
Both the man and the woman involved in the argument are thought to have left the alleyway by the rear of the nearby Chinese restaurant after the assault.
Anyone who saw the incident or the attacker is asked to contact Seaford Police on 101.
