Teenager beaten up in Westfield

POLICE are appealing for witnesses after a 14-year-old boy was attacked in the street.

The boy, who hails from Bexhill, was assaulted in Main Road, Westfield, at around 3.10pm on Sunday June 29.

The victim was sitting on a wall by a grass verge when he was approached and attacked by a boy, who was with a group of friends.

Although the victim was not injured in the attack, police say the boy was left ‘shaken and anxious’ by the incident.

Police say there is believed to be one main suspect who was described as white, aged 16 years old, 5’ 4” tall, of muscular build with brown hair.

The suspect was wearing black jogging bottoms and was topless at the time of the attack.
