Teenager is assaulted in Barnham

A TEENAGER was kicked and punched to the ground in Barnham.

Police have appealed for witnesses to the attack on the 17-year-old local boy.

He was assaulted for no apparent reason by a group of several young people as he walked along Barnham Road just north of the railway station.

A Sussex Police spokesman said: “They kicked and punched him to the ground, causing facial cuts and bruises and bruises to his stomach, for which he declined medical treatment.”

The attack happened about 8.30pm on August 4. PC Angie Keeley said: “If you saw what happened or have any other information about this unprovoked attack, please contact us in confidence via 101 quoting serial 1501 of 4/8.
