Teenager robbed at Bognor Regis cash machine

A TEENAGER ended up with bruising to his body and legs after he was attacked while withdrawing cash in Bognor Regis.

Police have bailed a man arrested on suspicion of the crime and are appealing for witnesses who might have seen the incident.

It happened last Friday (August 28), when a 19-year-old man was attacked in Aldwick Road at 12.40am. He was using the machine outside Tesco Express.

“As a result of this incident the victim sustained bruising to his body and legs and had a quantity of cash stolen from him,” said a police spokeswoman.

“A 36-year-old man from Bognor Regis was arrested on suspicion of robbery. After being interviewed he was released on police bail until September 27 while enquiries continue.

“A quantity of cash was recovered.”

Anyone who witnessed the incident was asked to contact [email protected] or call 101 quoting serial 30 of August 28.
