Teenagers injured during "out-of-control" party

FOUR teenage boys were injured during a rowdy party at a property in Maybridge.

Police were called to a property in Anson Road at 11pm on Saturday following reports on an out-of-control teenage party.

When they arrived they found four boys had been injured, including one who had been head-butted. He was taken to St Richard's Hospital in Chichester with facial injuries.

Two teenagers have been bailed for enquiries to take place, two were cautioned and two were given 80 fixed penalty tickets for public order offences, or being drunk and disorderly.

Inspector Martin Pattenden said: "It was a large party and it got out of control as there were too many people.

"Many were drunk and there was no adult supervision. We have discussed what has happened with the owners of the property and helped them prevent it from happening again.

"Parents should be mindful as to where their children are going at night and that alcohol can lead to people becoming victims of a crime or the perpetrator."
