Teenagers try to rob taxi driver in Peacehaven

A taxi driver received facial injuries after preventing two teenagers in Peacehaven from robbing him.

The pair approached him when he was parked in the Meridian Centre car park on Saturday December 14 at 5.50pm.

Sussex Police said the two teenagers, wearing hoodies, attacked him and tried to steal his cigarettes and wallet.

The 32-year old driver from Hove defended himself whilst sat in his cab and stopped them from taking his property.

He needed treatment at the Royal Sussex County Hospital in Brighton for his injuries.

The suspects ran off in the direction of the main South Coast Road and then out of sight.
