Teenagers wanted for Uckfield Twinning Association youth camp

TEENAGERS wanted! That’s the call from the Uckfield Twinning Association which is planning a new youth camp in April. Youth camps organised by the Association in Uckfield at home and abroad have been a great success entertaining young people from six European countries last year alone. Organisers say many long-term friendships were forged.

The next camp will be based at Blackboys Youth Hostel from April18-21. It is a joint venture between Uckfield and new twin town of Arques-la-Bataille and there are still places available. The programme includes opportunities to try a hand at stonemasonry, a day of adventure at Blacklands Farm, juggling and circus skills workshops, the chance to make friends with French young people, games, music and barbecues.

People who take part in this camp will be able to go on a return visit to Arques in August and also eligible to apply to go on subsidised trips to Sweden next summer.
