Telscombe

FILM LOCATIONS: East Sussex Film Friendly locations. You probably know that Cuffs was filmed in East Sussex. Television and film productions are constantly looking for new and interesting properties/land to use as film locations and they'll pay to use yours. Find out how you can get involved. Creative England invite you to Folkington Manor, East Sussex BN26 5SD on January 28 to find out how to earn money by putting your property forward as a film location. What is involved? How will your property be insured? How long will it take? Will you have to be there? Creative England will answer all these questions and more at two sessions with presentations starting at 1.45pm and 4.30pm.

Creative England are continually looking to update their locations database with a variety of interesting properties, so, whatever type of property you own - be it a pub, warehouse, cinema, cottage or church you may be able to make money from offering it up to productions looking for film locations. I know from personal experience that this can be very lucrative. You don’t have to own a castle or a mansion. I have filmed in three bedroomed semis and in ordinary back gardens.

FOOTNOTES: A busy first week to the year. Jacks birthday is on January 6. Actually, like the Queen, he has two birthdays, although nobody knows the date of one of them. Jack was found on the streets of Manchester scavenging for food after being apparently abandoned, was promptly nicked by the local police and deposited into Manchester Dogs Home, where he languished for about a year and a half, before a friend of mine felt so sorry for him that he took him home with him that day. January 6, 2003. The vet told my friend that Jack was about five to six years old. Making him about 18 or 19 years old this year. Sadly, my friend died in 2011, leaving Jack to me in his will. Jack, however, managed to celebrate his official birthday in style, despite the arthritis he now suffers from, with visits from friends, treats, much fussing and ripped up paper etc. In true seasonal style, a story with a happy ending. Go safely and enjoy your week.
