Telscombe Cliffs man suffers serious head injuries in Brighton street fight

A TELSCOMBE Cliffs man is in hospital with serious head injuries after a fight in a Brighton street.

At 6.15pm on Monday 30 April police were called to North Street in the city centre after reports of a fight between several men.

On arrival at the scene the group had dispersed but the officers found a 32-year old Telscombe Cliffs man with serious head injuries.

He was taken to the Royal Sussex County Hospital and later transferred to the Hurstwood Park Neurological Centre in Haywards Heath.

His injuries include a fractured skull and fractured eye socket but are not assessed as life threatening.

No arrests have been made so far.

Detective sergeant Helen Paine said; “We are still establishing exactly what happened in this incident and are keen to hear from anyone who was in North Street early yesterday evening and who saw anything of what happened or men running away towards Churchill Square.
