Tennis star visits her sponsors

WHEELCHAIR tennis star Lauren Jones took time out of her busy schedule to visit one of her sponsors in her home town.

The Great Britain junior team competitor is sponsored by chartered accountants and tax advisors Carpenter Box LLP, and she visited their offices, in Crescent Road, Worthing, last week.

The firm supports Lauren through its charitable foundation.

Chris Coopey, Practice Director at Carpenter Box, said Lauren was an “inspiration”.

He said: “We were delighted that Lauren called in to see us as we were able to congratulate her face-to-face on behalf of everyone at Carpenter Box on her remarkable achievement.

“She has so much determination to succeed and is a true inspiration to all athletes.”

Lauren’s latest success came at her most recent event, the World Team Cup, held in Antalya, in Turkey.

Despite missing the opening matches due to illness, she recovered to play in the later stages, with the team securing the gold medal.

The event is the junior wheelchair tennis equivalent of the Davis Cup and Fed Cup, and the team now have the title of “junior world champions”.
