Motorists will be able to test their skills and get a free winter driving pack at a road safety event in Uckfield.
People who go to the open day at Uckfield Fire Station on Saturday (30 November) will be able to watch firefighters showing how they cut someone out of a car, check their own knowledge of stopping distances and pick up road safety tips.
A car littered with faults will be on show to test if drivers know how roadworthy their vehicles need to be, a simulator will let visitors see how aware they are of hazards and a seatbelt sledge will show how long it takes a vehicle to stop.
Halfords will be giving out free winter packs and McDonald’s will be giving away free drinks.
Road policing officers will also be at the event to give advice about winter driving and talk about this year’s drink-driving campaign along with neighbourhood policing officers and staff from the Royal Society for the Prevention of Accidents.
The event runs from 10am to 2pm.
