How well do you know Hailsham?

That’s the question being asked by Hailsham FM.

The answer is a fun afternoon exploring the town as part of a Walking Treasure Hunt on Sunday (May 3).

The family fun starts and ends at The Grenadier Pub, 67 High Street, Hailsham, behind the Tesco store at 1pm, but to register and pay for a team of four people maximum, it’s advisable to arrive early.

The entrance fee is £2.50 per person (under 12 year olds go free and not counted in the team number), and the Treasure Hunt is suitable for adults and children of all ages.

The walking route, lasting approximately one hour, will be around Hailsham and comprise a number of photographs of locations to find, with an associated question.

Teams will be timed and the winning team will be the one who completes the task in the shortest time.

There will be time penalties for incomplete or wrong answers.

The winning team will win a prize.

Teams can be booked prior to May 3 by contacting Helen on 07812 337418, or emailing Phil@HailshamFM.uk

All proceeds from this fund raising event will go towards Hailsham FM’s running costs during the two week transmission of the town’s Arts and Culture Festival which takes place in September.

The eventual aim is to operate a full time radio station to benefit the whole community and beyond.
