LOCAL skateboard

enthusiasts made the most of a temporary half pipe installed at Lewes Castle on Friday as part of the celebrations to launch the district's Artwave festival.

But there remains little sign of a permanent skate park for the town.

A proposal to provide such an amenity on Malling playing fields is making no progress because the finding is not in place.

And this week local MP Norman Baker blamed Tesco for failing to come up with promised financial support for the scheme.
