The latest Big Toddle helps out under-fives

Some 20 small people in Middleton have made a large difference to under-fives around the country.

The children were joined by their parents in taking part in the latest Barnardo's Big Toddle.

The members of the Toddler Club at St Nicholas Church walked around the neighbouring Shrubb's Field to raise money for the charity.

Their efforts encouraged the Wednesday Wonder Club at the church to join in the fundraising. About 20 of them braved wet weather to walk along Middleton beach in aid of Barnado's.

The amounts raised will be combined into one sizable donation to Barnado's. But the final amount is not yet known.

The money will go towards Barnardo's early-years work with disadvantaged and vulnerable under-fives in local projects.

This includes services for children with disabilities, young carers, and mums and dads who need support to help their children.
