“I had great pleasure in meeting Nigel Scott-Dickeson, Chief Executive of Springboard Project. Springboard Project, a community based charity, gives something unique to families and children both inside and outside our district, offering inclusive play and leisure opportunities for families with young children and fun short breaks for children and teenagers with disabilities.

Now in its seventh year, Horsham Performers Platform aims to provide a safe, friendly and encouraging atmosphere for musicians of all ages and standards to perform in the presence of a professional adjudicator and audience. This year, more than 250 performers took part.

Four choirs performed on June 24: Cantatrice from Steyning, The Pleasure Singers, Vocal Fusion and the North Singers. They sang a diverse range of music from Moon River to Elvis Presley’s Return to Sender and Ave Maria to Stepping Out With My Baby. The North Singers closed with ABBA’s Thank You for the Music.

“Kay Turner and her committee have worked incredibly hard to get HPP to the spectacular position it is today,” said Mr Mitchell. “Long may HPP’s good work in celebrating and allowing the public to listen to music performed so well continue!”
