Renée van der Vloodt will go through the hidden causes of rage and what can be done about them in her talk at the Elysian Centre on Saturday, January 21.

“Anger outbursts are not a reflection of who a person is, but it is a clear sign that your life is currently out of balance,” she said.

“When anger has morphed into an unpredictable and ugly beast that controls you, rather than you controlling it, it’s time to step in.

“Luckily once recognised, it can be treated and resolved quickly and effectively and there are many quick and successful techniques you can learn to manage your anger yourself.”

In our stressed and over-stretched modern lives, anger outbursts, irritability, aggressive behaviour and chronic anger affect people of all ages and backgrounds.

Untreated, anger comes at a high cost to individual lives, relationships and to communities at large, according to Ms van der Vloodt.
