Places where cars have been targeted include the Gallops in Findon Valley, The Crematorium in Findon, and roads in Ferring.

Police spokeswoman Jill Pedersen said: "Police advice that you don't leave anything on display in your car.

"Take all your belongings with you when you leave the car. Items under placed under the seat or in the boot are not considered safe. Don't make it easy for an opportunist thief. Empty and lock you car."
