Midhurst town trustees are publicising the fact that the market square is available as a town asset and they would be happy to consider and then accommodate any suggestions from the public.

Councillor Steve Morley said: “Midhurst Town Trust recognises it is the Queen’s 90th birthday coming up next year so we would be more than happy to make the market square available to anyone who has a good idea such as a concert, tea party or even a barbecue.

“We can’t organise it, but could give assistance.

“We have always seen Midhurst’s market square as our ‘village green’, which we can host events on.

“Anyone who wants to approach us with an idea can email [email protected]

“Anyone who wants to see what the possibilities are for the square can come to the Midhurst Town Council Christmas street party on Friday, December 11.”
