SPRIGHTLY or even not so sprightly residents embarking on their third age have been given a warm invite by a council authority to find out all the exciting opportunities to enjoy in the Polegate area.
A fact-finding event for those embarking on the Third Age has been organised by Wealden District Council at Polegate Community Centre from 10am until 1pm on April 11.
More than 30 information stands will give information to any residents aged 50 and over.
Staffed by businesses, voluntary and statutory organisations, they will give details about local activities and services in Polegate for older people.
Dr Jeremy Leach, Wealden’s public health manager, said: “It is all about making the most out of the next stage in life.”
The free-of-charge event will include music, indoor bowls and a raffle.
