Third attempt to demolish Angmering retreat among planning applications

Plans submitted to Arun District council propose the demolition of Tall Trees, in High Street, and the construction of a five-bedroom house with indoor swimming pool. An earlier plan was withdrawn and the second proposal was rejected by the council. The full list of plans in the Gazette area this week is:

ANGMERING: one externally-illuminated fascia sign, Graham Butt Estate Agents, The Square.

Two-storey rear extension, 30 East Drive.

Demolition of three-bedroom house and attached two-bedroom bungalow, double garage, stable and outbuildings; construction of five-bedroom house with indoor swimming pool, six attached garages, plant room and gardener’s store and garage, Tall Trees, High Street. Also, consent area consent for same.

ARUNDEL: demolish single-storey kitchen extension; replace with single-storey extension, to provide kitchen, utility room and shower room, 3 Mount Pleasant. Also, listed building consent application for same.

BARNHAM: fell two laburnum trees and clear roots, within the Barnham (Church Lane) conservation area, east of Barnham Court, Church Lane.

EAST PRESTON: convert and modify roof space, to provide extra bedroom with en-suite, Flat 6, The Ramblers, South Strand.

LITTLEHAMPTON: single-storey rear extension, 10 Northway Road.

RUSTINGTON: extensions and loft conversion (re-submission of R/35/12), 9 Cheam Road.

Reduce two sycamore trees by 50 per cent within the Rustington conservation area, 34 The Street.

Rear single-storey extension, 2 Hobbs Way.

WALBERTON: renewal of unimplemented planning consent WA/34/09 for alterations and extension to Walberton Place Nursing Home, Yapton Lane.

YAPTON: surgery to various trees within the Yapton (Church Lane) conservation area, Park Lodge, Church Lane.
