Sussex Police has confirmed that officers were responding to reports of a burglary in Albert Close.
Four police cars were sent to the incident at 6.30pm, a spokesman for Sussex Police said, after officers received reports of 'suspicious activity'.
The spokesman confirmed officers were still in attendance, with one police car now at the scene.
Residents reported seeing a high police presence in the area on social media.
