The Players Collective is presenting Under the Greenwood Tree at Lewes Little Theatre.
The popular early Thomas Hardy novel of young love and disappearing village life has been adapted for the stage by Jack Shepherd.
It features original Dorset carols and songs that would have been sung by Hardy himself and the music, under the direction of Chris Parke, is a delight few will want to miss.
Performances continue today (Friday) until Monday, December 23, at 7.30pm and at 2.45pm for the Saturday and Sunday matinees.
Tickets, which are available from Lewes Tourist Information and wegotickets.com, are £10 or £8 for members of Lewes Theatre Club or The Players Collective.
