Three arrested after aggravated burglary in Bognor

THREE London men have been arrested on suspicion of aggravated burglary, failing to stop for police, grievous bodily harm and supply of cannabis following an incident at a house in Collyer Avenue, Bognor Regis, on Friday (March 29).

It is alleged the men forced their way into the property around 4.45pm and stabbed a 22-year-old man in the hand, before leaving with what later turned out to be cannabis plants.

Detective Sergeant John Kalli for West Sussex CID said: “Quick intelligence work and swift action by local road traffic officers identified the car that the suspects were travelling in. Officers then followed the car before it eventually rolled over and came to a stop on the A29 Ockley.

“Neither of the three men were injured and despite attempting to again evade officers they were arrested and taken to custody where they remain for questioning.”

The man who was stabbed in the hand was taken to hospital for treatment, discharged and arrested for production of cannabis. He has been bailed until April 25 pending further enquiries.
