Three arrested over Rustington bag snatch

THREE 17 year olds have been arrested in connection with a Rustington bag snatch.

They were arrested, near Tesco, Broadpiece at about 2.30am today (Tuesday, May 11) just 30 minutes after the theft happened, in Ash Lane, Rustington.

A Sussex Police spokesman said that officers had circulated the description of a Fiat Punto that the suspects had jumped into after stealing a bag from a man who was walking home.

He added: "The man was not hurt. There was no damage, violence or injury during the arrests.

"The three are being bailed to a later date yet to be arranged whilst police enquiries continue."
