THREE young men were targeted by robbers in three separate incidents in Lewes on Thursday last week.

THREE young men were targeted by robbers in three separate incidents in Lewes on Thursday last week.

At 2.30pm on the bridge leading from Sussex Downs College over the railway line, a 14-year-old boy was approached by a man who demanded cash.

He defended himself and the offender fled with nothing.

At 10.10pm a 20-year-old man walking along Landport Road, Lewes, was grabbed from behind by two men. One seized his mobile phone while the other took his wallet from a bag he was carrying.

The offenders fled and threw the wallet back at the victim after he gave chase.

And at 10.30pm a 17-year-old was approached by two men in Leicester Road who told him to turn out his pockets.

They fled with his wallet and a dark-coloured rucksack containing personal papers, bank cards a black Carhartt hat and a blue GAP fleece hat. It also had some hand-written song lyrics inside.

None of the victims were injured.
