A police helicopter was called out just before midnight last night (June 5), to locate three missing teenagers.
The helicopter crew joined Sussex Police officers in a search over Polegate and Eastbourne.
Sussex Police said, “Shortly after 8.30pm on Thursday (June 4) police were informed that three teenage girls had failed to return home from school and were believed to have gone missing in the Polegate area.
“Officers began searching likely locations and were later joined by a National Police Air Service helicopter.
“The three teenagers were finally located in Willingdon, close to the junction of Church Street and Lodge Avenue, at midnight. All were safely returned home.”
