Three people killed in fatal crash near Rye

Police officers were called to the A259 Rye Road, Brookland, at 3.50pm to reports of a serious collision between a black Renault Megane estate and a motorbike.

The man riding the motorcycle and two passengers in the car, both women, died as a result of the collision.

The road was closed for most of the evening.

Officers from the Serious Collision Investigation Unit are appealing for witnesses to the collision to come forward.

They are particularly interested in speaking to anyone who may have witnessed the black Renault or the motorbike in the moments before the incident.
