Three teenagers to appear in court after stabbing in Hailsham

Three teenagers were due to appear in court this morning (Monday, March 23) after a stabbing in Hailsham on Friday night (March 20), police said.

Police were called to the vicinity of St Mary’s Parish church at around 8.30pm on Friday, where several youths were reported to allegedly be fighting.

During the incident, a 16-year-old boy was stabbed and was taken to the Royal Sussex County Hospital, Brighton, where he was detained for treatment, police said.

Three people were arrested and were due to appear at Brighton Magistrates’ Court at 10am, police said.

Oliver Anfield Dennis, 18, of no fixed address, and a 17-year-old boy and a 16-year-old boy, both from Eastbourne, have each been charged on suspicion of wounding with intent to cause grievious bodily harm, police said.
