Tickets sellingfast for Arts Fest

The festival offers a varied and packed programme and runs from September 14 - 29.

A one man play on Darwin at Rye Community on Sunday September 22 has now sold out, while a World War II walking tour through Rye has proved so popular that a second walk has been added on Sunday 22 starting from the Gun Garden at 11am.

Andy Stuart, from the Festival Committee, said: “Ticket sale have been going very well indeed and the tour of Romney Marsh Churches has virtually sold out.

“There are still a handful of tickets left for young English pianist Benjamin Grosvenor, who is playing at St Mary’s, Rye, on September 23.

“Tickets for returning favourite Kanda Bongo Man, who is flying especially from South Africa to play his hot soukous African dance rhythms on Tuesday September 17, are going fast.”

Other festival highlights include folk legends The Home Service and the Brodsky String Quartet.

Children’s entertainment includes Punch and Judy.

The Box Office is sited in Phillips & Stubbs Estate Agency in Cinque Ports Street, and is open from 9.30am to 1pm on Mondays to Saturdays inclusive through to the finish of Rye Arts Festival at the end of September.
