The awards recognise and reward people who live, work, volunteer or study in the Crawley District who give up their time, talents and skills to help and support others in their community and those who have trained, worked and put all their efforts into making real achievements.

Now in their fourth year, the Crawley Community Awards are hugely popular reflecting the wonderful community spirit that exists in Crawley and the appreciation that local people have for those who go the extra mile to make a difference to their community.

In addition to new nominations, the judges are particularly keen to encourage repeat nominations for individuals and groups who were not successful in previous years.

Some very difficult decisions had to be made and the judges really hope that those who were not shortlisted previously will be nominated again. With limited space, some truly wonderful nominations just couldn’t be included.

If anyone has any queries please email [email protected]

Nominations are invited for teams and individuals across sixteen different categories representing everything from volunteering and charities through to education and sports.

You may make as many nominations as you wish in as many categories. Nominees must either live, work, volunteer or study within the district or provide a service open to Crawley residents outside the immediate area.

An independent judging panel will consider all nominations in early February and shortlisted nominees will be invited to attend the Awards Presentation Evening at The Hawth on Wednesday March 6, 2019.

The Awards Night

Winners will be presented with a trophy and framed certificate. Tickets are free of charge. Photographs of the winner’s award presentations will be emailed to all winners and nominators free of charge.

The bar at the Hawth will remain open after the event with soft drinks and finger food provided for audience members with the compliments of The Hawth. Having proved such a popular choice last year, Crawley based Duff Eynon will again be compering the evening. A picture special will appear in the Crawley Observer on Wednesday, March 13.
