Tons of straw go up in flames

Ten tons of straw and a hedge were destroyed by fire in Bognor Regis on Friday.

The blaze occurred on land south of Lower Bognor Road and firefighters were called at 4.25pm.

Two crews from Bognor Regis and one from Chichester spent an hour-and-a-half putting out the flames with three hosereels, beaters and drag rakes.
