'Too graphic' sex lessons spark call for inquiry

A full investigation has been called for in what is being taught in West Sussex schools during sex education, which forms part of all schools' personal, social and health education programme.

The call has come amid mounting concerns that children in West Sussex secondary schools are given overly-explicit information in sex education lessons without parents' knowledge.

Concerns were triggered after a letter appeared in the Daily Telegraph from a teacher at King's Manor Comprehensive Sc hool, Shoreham, revealing that 12-year-olds were being given descriptions of anal and oral sex.
