Top music line-up for theHastings Beer Festival

Organisers have pulled out all the stops to produce a great line-up of artists and bands for this year’s Beer and Music Festival.

Seven of the best local bands will raise the roof at Alexandra Park with a mix of rock, R&B and dance music, while the Prom Evening will offer the Hasting Big Choir performing the Prom classics supported by a 30-strong brass and percussion band.

For the past few years, emphasis has been given to spotlighting local talent on the big stage at the festival.

This year is no different with the outstanding singer songwriter Sam Calver, headlining the Saturday night, together with six more superb bands performing over Friday and Saturday night.

Opening the festival on the Thursday night is the Prom Evening and the growing numbers that attend will enjoy a sing along with the 150-strong choir and band conducted by Roger Wilcock.

Complementing this mix of music is over 100 local and regional beers and a host of street food vendors.

Colin Gooch, Hastings Beer & Music Festival Chairman, said, “Everything is coming together now. The music booked for this year’s festival really does show-off what great local talent we have on offer.

“The festival offers them the opportunity to play in front of an audience of thousands, while helping us to raise tens of thousands for great local charities.”

This year organisers Hastings Round Table, have invested in an even larger capacity marquee to ensure that the event can be contained in a single structure, creating a weatherproof entertainment space. “So no wellies needed for Hastings Beer and Music Festival,” stated Colin Gooch.

Last year the festival raised £65,000, which has been distributed to local good causes and has made a considerable difference to numerous people and organisations that rely on charity donations.

The Line up for the 2015 Hastings Beer and Music Festival: Thursday 2nd July – Prom Evening - Music From across the Nation and Afar: with Roger Wilcock conducting the Hastings Big Choir, brass and percussion.

Friday July 3 – Rock the Park – with: SnakeByte, Loose Moose, Dead Rabbits and The Cavaliers.

Saturday July 4: – Afternoon Family Event, with local young bands on the stage and family focused activities.

Saturday July 4 – evening – Rock the Park – with: The Freedom Riders, The Do Theys and headlining, Sam Calver.
